In case I don’t say it enough, these are my people. I love my job because it’s awesome, but I also love my job because they’re awesome! @FCS_MusTherapy#FridayMeeting
Changing up my digital learning approach this week. We are using our communication skills to make our own band. You see....evil villain "Treble-Maker Taylor" came in and stole all our music. To lure her out of hiding, we are making our own band/concert. 🎤🎵 #MusicMatters
We lost a dear member of our music therapy family this past week. Ms. Missy has been with our @FultonCoSchools MT team for the last 22 years. We are heart-broken and know that we will never replace her joyful spirit and impeccable talent. Here’s to Missy. ❤️
Another reason why I think we - as the @FultonCoSchools@FCS_MusTherapy team - are top notch and willing to go above and beyond for our students. Super grateful for our Performing Arts Coordinator @koperniak for putting high value on Music Therapy for SPED. Thank you!
And for my secondary schools, I'm bringing back Genre of the Month, but with everything on magnets for easy transport. This allows me to take things up and down/introduce things one at a time, but also I will have the portability to bring these to each school when we return F2F.
These allow me the ability to begin using materials during URL that the students will continue to see when we resume F2F so everything is consistent. It's all created with Boardmaker text or Google Images for students that are unable to read to allow for differentiation.
Here's a little more insight into my Remote Learning Tools I've been working on. Here I have my schedule board (complete with a wall hanger from Target Dollar Spot from last year) which allows me to interchange the interventions between classes, but keep a familiar flow of class.
I've been spending this week of preplanning getting my little corner ready for Universal Remote Learning in-between trainings. Thinking of creative ways to ensure that Music Therapy is as fluid and familiar as I can make it for my students. @FCS_MusTherapy@FultonCoSchools
@MsTaylorMTBC, come on down! Ms. Brittany has been with @FultonCoSchools for 7 years, and she takes the 🎂 as the biggest @Disney fan we know! She loves running 🏃🏽♀️to @taylorswift13, her sweet puppy 🐶, and her adorable 1-yr old son 👦🏼! So thankful she’s part of our team! ❤️

Don’t ask school leaders and teachers if they are happy to “have time off”. No, we are not happy and our hearts ache for our students. We want to be at school. We want to see our kids. We want to meet their needs. We want our normal back. #COVIDー19#PrincipalLife#BetterTogether
ya’ll... @FCS_MusTherapy IS THE BOMB. Shout out to our own @MsTaylorMTBC for creating this wonderful lesson for our guys and stepping out of her comfort zone (attention) ❤️❤️@FCS_SEC @BlakeMcGahaFCS @FCSSuptLooney#FCSrising https://t.co/wjxqRNK4xX
Unified Fine Arts @HoochHappenings is counting down the days until their concert on Friday. They have been working hard all semester to learn their instruments and voice parts. Inclusion is SO important for our CBI students. @FultonCoSchools@FCS_MusTherapy@vandewalker_d
