When a toxic person can no longer control you, they will try to control how others see you.

The misinformation will feel unfair, but stay above it, trusting that other people will eventually see the truth.

Be brave, be honest, stand tall and stay above it.

NEW TEACHERS
Becoming a great teacher works better when you’re on CROCK-POT time, NOT MICROWAVE time.
It takes experimentation, learning from mistakes, perseverance and patience to become a master teacher who makes it look effortless. Especially true if you’re teaching virtually.

Another is knowing that nothing worth something is ever just given to you. It takes hard work.

Not going to lie... Scrolling through Twitter makes me question why I’m in the education field. Some being: lack of support, low pay, online schooling, etc. I got into this field for more than just aesthetics. What are some things that remind you of why you got into education?

One thing for me is knowing I will make more of an impact on at LEAST one student’s life.

They understand their purpose...they ARE the ladder. 🪜

I bet students would be better off if we cancelled testing and instead gave teachers the money to spend as needed for their classrooms.

My mentor teacher just expressed to her students that a test does not determine your life. She did not say “YOU HAVE TO PASS TO GO TO THE NEXT GRADE”. Loved this. It is human to fail! That’s how we learn!! 🍎#testinganxiety #brainbreak #standardizedtests #teachers #education
