When I finally walk away from somebody I genuinely love, just know that shit took EVERYTHING outta me. 💯 I done overthought it, prayed on it, lost sleep & gave chances I probably shouldn’t have. By the time I leave, I ain’t angry… I’m exhausted. 😮💨 You still alive, I just gotta grieve you like you ain’t part of my life anymore. Family, friends, relationships… anybody can get loved from a distance. 🤌🏾
Men who abuse women physically, emotionally or mentally are often some of the nicest, friendliest men you will ever met. A lot of them are funny, polite, helpful, respected and extremely good at making everyone else feel comfortable. That is why people struggle to believe the woman when she finally speaks. They say, "but he has always been so nice to me". And that's exactly the point.
Y'all are terrified of initiating conversation after conflict. I'm not your mother. I'm not whatever ex that used to blow up on you. I'm an adult that wants to hear you, be heard, and heal what's happened between us. Silence is not a resolution.
Once, a man told me that my softness shouldn’t be associated with a man’s actions, and that women should simply be soft. I firmly refuse to be soft to a man who is difficult and doesn’t bring me any sense of softness.
i don’t think men realize how much effort it takes for a woman to stay soft after being hurt repeatedly. eventually, softness becomes a choice, not a personality trait.
The problem is me. I enter people's lives with an energy, a loyalty, a love and a peace they've never had. I disrupt their comfort zone built on chaos.
They're not used to what's real they're addicted to dysfunction.
My presence demands growth and they're not ready for it.
best thing i ever decided to do was just be quiet..... i have nothing to say. i'm not convincing nobody that i'm a great person, i'm not trying to fix shit i didn't break. i'm not fighting for nobody to see my worth. whatever you do is on you, better hope you don't regret it.
