This might be my favourite literacy activity. I purchased this magnetic fishing game from Kmart. Students fish out a sea animal. They then look at the table to read and write the word! The words used are words that children found tricky in guided reading sessions🎣🐠📖 #acuedu_p

Year 1 learning pods! These pods are great for students to participate in play-based learning. They also encourage inquiry-based learning. The pod spaces get changed every term. While in year 1 today, I thought this pirate pod was pretty awesome! #acuedu_p

Today our year 1 students created hats to learn about time. Students ordered the events of the day on a timeline which was then turned into a hat. This allowed students to understand the concept of a timeline as well as the order of events in a day ⏰🎩 #acuedu_p

Good morning and happy Wednesday ! The rocket system where every time a student does a good job they can move up the rocket. Everyone who has reached for the stars by Friday will get a reward! Such a great behaviour management strategy to encourage positive behaviour #acuedu_p
