We have some great writing happening in our classroom. Two students chose to write about the importance of being kind. We have conversations about how it is important to be kind and to treat others with respect on a regular basis in our classroom. 💗
Tomorrow April 8, 2021 @HWDSB is celebrating International Day of Pink to raise awareness and commit to ending the spread of bullying, hatred, Homophobia, Biphobia, Transphobia, and Transmisogyny within our schools and our communities @Churchill_HWDSB@CNicHWDSB
We read a great book at the beginning of the week. It got us talking about how we can help others. Students in our class are very helpful and kind. They are always ready to help a friend and encourage others to do their best.
I would like to give a big shout out to the intermediate students at our school. Thank you to everyone that created a fun art activity for us this week. We had so much fun painting our hands to create these cute little crabs. @McLeanMr
We started writing in a new journal at the beginning of March. We are learning to put the date at the top of the page, and to keep our writing organized. We have made so much amazing progress this year. I am so proud!
Just wanted to send out a big THANK YOU to the grade 8s for the holiday read aloud. Students sent a video of them reading a story, and an activity for our class to complete. We listened to Snowmen All Year, and we talked about the different places we could go with our snowmen.
We learned a new word today — perseverance. We know that it means to try our best even when something is hard. We read the story “After the Fall” and learned that it is important to always get back up and try again.
