To be fair I still view Talarico as an ally for us in the LGBTQ+ community. Some people don't see how he carefully chose his words.

Sand & Turek are transphobic and I get it much more over them than I do with Talarico.

Hell even Cuellar voted for Trumps immigration policies. I hate him so much. However he's still better than a Republican. I hate it here I really do but that's how elections work. I've never seen a Republican be better on these issues than a Democrat. So vote Democrat. Participate in primaries. Etc.

I need people to understand the reason why I get so obsessive over primaries during primary season is so that we beat conservative democrats.

Primaries are for the purity tests, general elections we vote blue for harm reduction reasons as progressives.

I get it, Turek and Sand have questionable views on trans people but even they are more movable on the issues than the Republican are.

@marinathekat3 Call your Department of human services or whoever administers these benefits. They helped me get this exemption when I didn't think I'd qualify one either because I'm still fighting for disability with social security with an attorney.

Talarico isn't even against trans sports as long as safety and fairness is protected. He was very careful with his wording. Same with the surgery question. It was calculative & specific to appease the right but while not abandoning trans minors completely.
