Yesterday I had to say goodbye to my senior honors...it was a very sad day for me. Our relationship started 3 years ago for some, 4 weeks ago for others, but I miss them all. Today, I got some beautiful good bye emails.

I always teach my students that their voice matters...that they have to own their own lives...today, 3 of my freshman reached out about different things that they needed from me to help them be successful. I was so proud!!! This is def the focus of my weekly shout out!
Super impressed with a few of my honors sophomores and their analysis of this poem! Still thinking about some of the comments! These hornets are smart!!!
This is by far my favorite Ted Talk. We had a great discussion today about bias, prejudice, point of view, and evidence. I canโt wait to finish tomorrow and see what these young brains have to say!
Who needs sleep these days! Transitioning to remote learning means making sure all expectations are clear for these futures of America. This weekends focus, clarity in grading!
One of my favorite things about being a teacher is being taught. Iโve used this syllabus template, modified from Discipine in the Secondary Classroom, for 4 years now. BUT using it for virtual learning w/ Google forms really taught me ALOT about my kids this year. So EXCITED!!!
Well, itโs an interesting start to my 17th year as a Hornet, but here goes! Iโm excited to see some smiling faces tomorrow morning!
Good Luck, Hornets! Letโs make it count!!!
