@LaQueHay1 @mrsg_echs I think my tweet was misunderstood. I'm not suggesting SEL is not already a part of you, but there are ways to be intentional with teaching content so that it goes beyond simply teaching content. Read alouds are one way of doing this as books can spur conversation.
@PonziniG I see those long lists of specializations all the time and it throws me off because I'm finishing up my grad program and we're told to pick *a* theory not 15 lol. I can understand pulling specific interventions though.
I definitely think art is healing and it will continue to be an intervention I use as a therapist. As a teacher, I've seen students use art and writing to process some difficult emotions too.

It’s remarkable how the national debt is always brought up as the reason why we can’t provide universal healthcare or cancel student debt but somehow there’s always trillions of dollars available to go to war.
