For 12 markers, how do you ensure DIRT/feedback is engaging and/or useful? Especially with lower-attaining students? Iโm really struggling with this!
Advice from anyone welcome, CCโing @missdcox@RE_McGEE

I hope they can help as a guide, on a very sensitive subject.

@Geo_Dougie @mollselbs@Jennnnnn_x I have a family account but Iโm the bill payer. Iโm wonder if itโs because I have a Canadian account and this service has only become available to UK users. I may have to cancel my Canadian account and sign up here in the UK
@missgeog92 Omg I wish I had these skills. Do you by chance a have a template you can share or direct me to a resource that may have helped you do this? ๐
Iโm in search of more teacher/tech โhacksโ
A little while ago I saw a thread of useful tech tips for teaching (like pressing b or w while on a presentation to black or white out the screen).
Whatโs your fav teacher of tech hack?
@CampbellGeog Behaviour is one of the most soul crushing parts of the job and I really feel for you. Itโs so frustrating. Iโll dm you at some point this weekend to let you know what Iโve found helpful for my most difficult classes
@CampbellGeog I give automatic warnings for walking in loudly (or make them go out and try again). I sit the few who are especially disruptive separate from each other & have hawk eyes on them. Calls home also help. Itโs def easier when itโs a fresh start but itโs not impossible to turn around
@CampbellGeog Just saw this! I really need to get out of the habit of leaving detailed feedback in every book. Iโve heard from some that itโs not helpful and from others that I should be doing it. Thatโs what gets me spending hours on marking!
I have a bunch of books to mark and Iโm thinking of bringing them home (it takes me long to mark and Iโd rather be comfy while I do it) what are your best tips for getting book marking done quickly and what tools/equipment do you use to transport the books home?
