First Day of School & Back to School Night all in one day! A new school and a new co-teacher, but back to First Grade! I have already felt so welcomed and am looking forward to the 2023-2024 school year!
Our field trip to @nysci this week! My group especially loved the exhibit where we used our STEM knowledge and learned about how to help people with physical disabilities and vision impairments. Thank you for the incredible hands-on experiences. #inclusion
Our class trip to the aquarium!π We had the opportunity to learn about different animals that live in water. We even got to take turns touching a horseshoe crab.
First Day in First Grade (9/8/22)! Super excited to be co-teaching in an Inclusive classroom this school year. :) I've already made some, "teacher friends" & have felt so welcomed by the school community.
Such an important day & one that is near and dear to my heart. β€οΈ I love that I get to include students with varying needs in my class each day. #InclusiveEducator

Thanksgiving came & went so quickly in our class. Here is a glimpse of some of the fun. Sensory bin, notes of gratitude, Turkey hats and construction paper turkeys. #Thanksgiving
CVC words, Sight words, Shapes, Time, Reading Ready skills, Grammar and even an educational egg hunt (since all of our students celebrate Easter)...we do it all. So many students proud to share their hard work this week.
Last week, our students worked on identifying words with digraph -ck, learning sight words using multi-sensory methods & some special St. Patrick's day writing and small group sharing. So lucky to have the opportunity to work with the students in our groups each week. π
