Teacher in the Rhondda. Year 3 practitioner, ALNCo and well-being lead. Passionate about well-being, positive relationships, inclusive education & the arts. ❤️
@BBCBreakfast Talent is distributed evenly, opportunity isn't. This was really interesting and thought provoking stuff this morning. As a teacher in a very disadvantaged area, I wish we could do more to support our young people. Funding needs to happen. Thank you for highlighting it.
@ITimbrell I love the journalling idea Ian. I think I may make this part of PPA time on a Friday. Honest reflections of the week. Happy new year lovely!

Well, this is something special. Absolutely loved it. Congratulations @BooksandChokers - an absolutely brilliant series. Will be sharing with teachers and children in my school next week. 💙
IT IS TIME
All episodes of A Kind of Spark are available on BBC iPlayer. I hope you love it. Please tell me if you do. Look out for hidden gems, just for readers. See if a cameo made it in. Look out for an end-of-credit scene in the final episode.

@world_of_mrg I've just spent this year in Year 2 and loved it after I got over the initial shock in September! 😂 They mature lots over the course of the year and I've loved watching them progress! I found that spending the first half term building relationships with them worked wonders!
@ITimbrell I think there's an increase in everything Ian. Not just biting but a regression in social skills in general. There's definitely been an impact from Covid but I feel it's more than that. Happy to chat and be involved in your research. Hope all is good with you.
@EYFSandMe I think this depends on your SLT. I know that as a young teacher and as a single Mum, my head allowed me to go to things like Christmas concerts and sports days. It's something that we try to accommodate now if we can! It's so important to see the bigger picture! ❤️
I have two signed and dedicated ADVANCE copies of the brilliant new @DanFreedman99 novel 'I Am Lenny Brown' to give away. It's a beautiful story about 8 year old Lenny who is selectively mute and faces the challenge of moving house & school. It's great for all KS2 ages. RT to win
I'm a huge fan of this. Focusing on the ta-da rather than the to-do. . . Will be reflecting on mine this week. Thanks for the inspiration @missdarby_ ❤️
Was going to write a to-do list in prep for my SENDCO time tomorrow but decided to do a reverse - a “what I’ve already done list”. Amazing for my well-being to see how far I’ve come in 6 weeks 💪🏼♥️ we need to focus on what we have done rather than what’s still to do sometimes!
@missdarby_ I'm a huge fan of this. Too often we focus on the endless 'to do' list rather than reflect on what we've actually achieved. The role of the SENDCo/ ALNCo is probably one of the toughest in a school. ❤️
@mrjakehumphrey@bbcstrictly She's awesome! She's not had dance training & outshone everyone on the dance floor on Friday! Gorka & the choreography made sure it was all about her. Will, Helen and Hamza for the final. Helen is a fabulous dancer & deserves all the accolades! ❤️
@Riley_Education@NWPUK@BeckySampWaz@alymac79 I love this. The fact that we've used the children's and my writing for the majority of our displays gives us so much ownership over the classroom. The children love seeing their writing displayed too! ❤️
