Wouldn’t say it requires “more” work, just like when people argue which level is harder to teach. Elem, middle, and high school teachers all deal with different challenges & frustrations & celebrations. I will say this: virtual is lonely, & the inadequate feeling can be crushing.

Ways I detect life as a remote teacher: 1. “Give me clappy hands if you’re there” 2. Sneeze and watch the chat blow up with “bless you” texts 3. While on mute, start talking to myself, and time how long it takes before someone says something (#3 may be unintentional 😬) 🤷🏻‍♀️
