Visual arts was something I grew to love, and every opportunity that I had to express my artistic skills in school made me feel that much more encouraged about my education! 🖌️🎨🖍️ I hope in my future classroom, I am able to support my students, their creativity, & expression!
Storytelling can be so fun for students. PBS has always been an amazing network, and love that they are providing interactive lessons to learn from and save! 🔖💙
Teach your students the power of storytelling! By the end of this PBS LearningMedia activity, they will have written a story with clear setting, conflict and resolution.
Absolutely excited to see that Pear Deck is offering Student-paced sessions, and allows for teachers to shift lessons to make them more flexible for not only the times, but for their students! :D
Launching a Pear Deck Student-Paced session has never been easier! 💚✨ Simply click “Start Lesson” from the Pear Deck sidebar and you’ll be prompted to choose your lesson type

Really like these suggestions for books to explore a bit into LGBT characters. I've always been open-minded about including these kinds of literature in my classroom library (: Definitely going to check some of them out.
Thought this was super cute! 😍 I think if kids even wrote reviews on books they read, and once compiled together, would be great too! Could be something used for #2ndgradereadingplc
I love creating things for the kids📚My teacher training provider has recommended reading lots of childrens fiction so I thought I’d make something out of it and create my own Book Reviews for children to look at and decide their next read😁🍎
I learned about culturally relevant teaching early on, before I even student taught. It was definitely something I was motivated on being able to accomplish in my methods of teaching and is still one of the things I will deeply consider for my future.
"Culturally responsive teaching isn't something that you say, 'I went to a professional development session, I'm all set, check the box.'" Amigos School demonstrates how teaching can be culturally responsive.
Super helpful! As a college aide, I worked with sight words for 3rd graders, & I had to write down and make my own check list for the particular class because the teacher I was assisting didn't have a master sight word sheet. This could def come in handy! Love that it's digital!
Very cute! Love the phones that they physically get to use and whisper into. Great strategy, and definitely holds them accountable. 📞#2ndgradereadingplc
Love this and so easy to understand. Cultural consideration and diversity is so important to acknowledge in the classroom. I believe every student should feel as though they not only belong in our classrooms, and in our schools, but in our world. 💕🌎
Saw this video in my personal social media account and just LOVED it! I aspire to do similar things like this for my future students. Sometimes, all students need is the support and encouragement from their teachers. ❤️https://t.co/k8RG5oubV9
Sharing this as education seems to be continually changing, especially with the events that have taken place recently this year. Provides support to educators who have had a challenging time being able to change their traditional ways of teaching to digital/flipped methods.
Part of our "Return to School Academic Guidance" series, this resource discusses partner reading and paragraph shrinking as class-wide interventions.

Relevant to what I am currently learning about and provides questions that help guide educators in building up a system of interventions. Great resource!
Providing students with mindfulness interventions is also important along side their academic intervention systems. I definitely support this, and think that we should also find ways of nurturing the social-emotional areas of our students' lives as well! 🤗🫂
How can schools buffer toxic stress for young children? Our research is the first of its kind to evaluate social-emotional and academic outcomes through a mindfulness intervention for children in kindergarten through 2nd grade. https://t.co/wzAF6lzXTr https://t.co/PSu03WptXz
