@brilliant_labs We even used the Cricut to create these silhouette Mother's Day cards. I took a picture of my students side-to, turned them into an svg, and added them to Design Space. The students took over with the design of their cards. @TCRCE_NS @MCSGophers
Thanks to @brilliant_labs for the help with purchasing a Cricut and hosting a workshop for my classroom. The students learned all about using Google drawings to create their fictional characters and turning them into shadow puppets with the Cricut! @TCRCE_NS @MCSGophers
@TorrensJonathan ohhhh! That would be fun! My grade 6 class from Maple Grove Education Center in Yarmouth NS would love that! Their teacher probably would too π
Michelle's videos at #pocketfullofprimary is full of supports to help teachers and students with their tech needs. Her "How To" video on Nearpod helped me transform one of my Google Slides into something I can use in an interactive manner with my students. #msvu_tech@alreyner
Tonight, I learned how to hyperlink and bookmark within a Google Doc. Now I will be able to get my students to navigate around their assignments with ease π #msvu_tech@alreyner
During tonight's class we dove into the 4 C's. I feel that this course has all of that to offer: Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Creativity. We definitely did that tonight. #MSVU_tech@alreyner
Looking forward to my Tech Masters at MSVU. I'm hoping to include a lot more technology into my classroom and looking forward to continuing with the Edwin. #MSVU_tech@alreyner@EdwinClassroom
While discussing Canadian stereotypes with my students, I came to find out that most of my students had never tried a BeaverTail before. I had to make it happen. So my wonderfully awesome TA made some from scratch and the kids got to try them. They loved them! @MCSGophers
Today, we discussed how the shape of a piece of paper affects the way it moves through the air when it is thrown. We tried throwing it flat, as a cylinder, then I let them do this...... #Science#Flight@MCSGophers
Dicussing cross-cultural understandings with the students and learning new greetings in different languages such as; "Assalamu alaykum", "Namaste", "Mingalaba", "Lumela" and "Shalom". @MCSGophers
Today 6-Hankinson made Christmas cards to support our troops overseas! They will be sent in the mail and hopefully make it in time for the holidays :) @CanadianForces@MCSGophers @TCRCE_NS
