@marchioneem I am so sorry this happened Michael. Honestly heartbreaking that this seems to happen more and more. But we persevere - we continue to educate those around us, and continue to spread positivity, kindness, and awareness. Which we all know you do on a regular basis. #PinkShirtDay
This is a book I usually like to read to my class around Remembrance day. Itโs even more pertinent with current world events that many of my students have been discussing. It also allowed connections to be made to Orange shirt day learning and Treaty recognition week.
After learning about the creation story of Turtle Island, students had a chance to draw their own turtles with a focus on lines within the elements of art. Students created their own line designs and then painted using water colours.
2/3-1 were so excited for our math centres yesterday. It was so nice to see how they were able to work together, problem solve, and have fun together as they continue to build relationships with each other.
Loved the way these student made name tags turned out for our lockers! Students were invited to create something that represented a little of who they are and what they love.
I cried, I belly laughed, I found myself nodding my head in agreement many times. Thank you @BOYNEhdsb for such an amazing opportunity to see @DrJCarrington speak this morning and what an amazing way to start off the school year! Looking forward to diving into this read.
We wish #HDSB students, staff and families a safe, fun and relaxing summer! You have earned it!๐โ๏ธ๐๏ธ๐ฉด
