We won't remember whether a student passed a test, but we will remember who they were as a person.
We need to celebrate and prioritize character in schools.

Two important things to ask your child after school each day:
Tell me about someone being nice to you.
Tell me about you being nice to someone else.

Get automatic feedback from your students after each class. It could sting a bit at times, but at least it helps us reflect on our day and how the lesson was perceived.

We [teachers] mustn’t forget that so many students feel safer and more loved at school than at home. And Bloom is irrelevant if Maslow isn’t fulfilled.
Tried the TAG strategy with writing pieces. Besides giving relevant peer feedback, it showed me what students understood about the writing structure and craft I taught and what they can identify in writing. If they can’t see it, they don’t understand it.
Students don't misbehave just to be a pain. Here are other reasons:
📌Can't keep up with lesson
📌Relationship issues with peers/ teacher
📌Not feeling safe/welcome
📌Not engaged
📌Boredom
📌Concentration mental barrier
We must find the root cause!
