Removing monuments is not going to end racism but it does remove barriers to the dreams of black children in America. Imagine having to walk by a tribute to your peoples’ enslavement everyday or attending a school named after it. That’s oppressive and spirit killing.
London Hart, a 7th grader at Moody Middle School, became inspired by current events and created original art to make t-shirts to raise money for causes affiliated with the Black Lives Matter movement. Thank you London for all of your efforts!
If you are a leader, you should be uncomfortable and uneasy in a crisis.
Great leaders embrace and grow while weak leaders and followers run away and hide from the discomfort.
If you are NOT uncomfortable you are not growing and learning.
