HIIP: Success Criteria - Co-creating a success criteria with Ss helps Ss understand the steps needed to achieve the learning goal. A success criteria for adding and subtracting fractions & multiplying fractions were co-constructed @stephenTCDSB. Ss can refer to them as needed.

A few days of exploring different transformations in Ms. Courchesne and Ms. Sferlazza’s grade 7 classes @stephenTCDSB. Ss performed translations and reflections on a coordinate grid and in our consolidation learned how each vertex changes when translating and reflecting shapes.
The grade 4/5s learned about pop art and constructed their own version with donuts as the focus! We celebrated their wonderful art work with a sweet treat🍩✅🌟

Ss in Ms. Sferlazza & Ms. Courchesne’s classes explored surface area of a cylinder. The purpose of the minds on activity was for Ss to determine which picture represented the net of a tall cylinder. Ss then explored how to arrive at SA & worked in groups to solve related problems
We had a blast on our field trip exploring the Humber Arboretum! Even though it was a cloudy and rainy day, the grade 4/5s still participated in super fun and educational learning experiences surroundings habitats and nature!🌸🐝🍀🌲🦅🐢
