Today was the day we built and planted our first pollinator gardens @oodps1 Eco team did a wonderful job planting all the plants and 4-1 & 7-2 prepped the beds for plants 😄
Thank you to all who made this a reality! We’re excited to watch our garden grow 🌷🦋 @misstgill
Check out our new herb garden at @oodps1 This connects to UN SDG 13 life on land, and 2 No Hunger as families can access these herbs for their cooking!
Shout out to @Ms_Lynch__ for taking the lead and planning this awesome project for Eco Team 💚🌱

Team work makes the dream work! Thank you to all our student helpers who helped dig holes and plant 11 native specie shrubs at @oodps1
We hope our new plants provide habitats for local species to thrive in and look forward to watching them grow!
Shout out to @LSF_LST for funds
I’m thankful to be part of a learning opportunity related to outdoor education and embedding United Nations Sustainability Goals with curriculum
Today’s focus: getting outdoors and using letting the place around you guide learning 🌎

Hey Oodenawi!
We have partnered with @TerraCycle and will now be recycling @GoGosqueeZ pouches and caps at our school!
Please place these in the new GoGoSqueez recycling boxes in your classrooms instead of throwing them in the garbage ♻️

The grade 5’s from 4/5-1, 5/6-1 and some from our OOD Life skills participated in a series of mad science workshops today!
We had so much fun exploring dry ice, making our own bouncy balls (to be bounced tomorrow!!), and growing crystals!
Grade 4’s @oodps1 went on a field trip to RBG’s Arboretum yesterday!
We learned all about rocks and minerals and did some outdoor art. The sun even came out for us for a little bit ☀️☀️
Grade 5’s in 4/5-1 finished their egg experiment this week!
We observed shell changes in the egg in Coke and vinegar.
We also observed changes in the yolk (after a messy break) of the vinegar egg…it could be held in a hand!
