We have been given some supplies to begin our school year, but I am still in need of some things to support students this year. Today only, there is a match, so your $ is doubled. https://t.co/JkopB07PBL
@kourtneyleibman Congratulations! I have a sweater on the needles for this little lovebug. I’ll get it finished before the weather gets too cold and drop it by.
Thinking a lot about this image and how it also applies to our novice teachers. The first year teacher - did their student teaching in a pandemic. The second year teacher - also student taught in a pandemic. The third year teacher - has never taught outside of a pandemic.
An important update about Pfizer booster vaccines from the @KCMOHealthDept!
Boosters are offered at the three #KCMO Health Dept. clinics, partner clinics & walk-ins are welcome.

Well, I taught my class what to do in an intruder situation at school. They can’t seem to grasp why we teach them how to protect themselves in this manner and how the intruder didn’t learn it in school too.
I had to explain that I didn’t learn this in school, and it’s only been taught for 10 years or so. Their point is valid…it won’t be long before someone we’ve trained knows the plan.
My last @DonorsChoose project was funded and there is another match opportunity. To see our students learn their best this year, our grade level needs rolling carts for the teachers. We’ll deliver the best lessons by moving from room to room! https://t.co/QIWUdsqh6V
I think I leveled up in adulthood this weekend. I took my 17 year old newly permitted niece out driving. Her dad has only braved empty parking lots, but we drove on curvy roads! Then I taught her how to go through the drive-through. The most important lesson yet!
Apparently Kleenex is doing a 50% donation for basic supplies for teachers who submit projects on Donor’s Choose. I created a project with a few things that will help us start the year in a positive way. https://t.co/mkJVsBonsK
Driving 12 hours in a day is not for the faint of heart. I drove from Indianapolis to Philly with so many bathroom and snack stops I lost count. On the bright side, we get to explore some in Philly before we are on the road again
