I missed our Friday STEAM day (aka best day) so it was a S(social studies) TEAM Mon! Ss built models of where Native Americans would be able to attain food & shelter, then make changes to adapt to the seasons! We had fun & learned lots about the Engineering Design Process!#STEAM
My VA studies lesson failed today. I wanted my lesson to be interactive, but there were too many moving pieces for my kids to handle. When I took the writing part away my kids were able to explore discuss & ask questions. I need to think about planning for this class differently.
Just because some teachers would rather stay in the classroom than go into administration doesn’t mean they aren’t leaders. Many have amazing talents which can benefit a school. Good leaders value them as experts and help maximize their talents for betterment of school & students
Congratulations to our Employee Support Staff of the Year, Mrs. Mercer, and our Teacher of the Year, Ms. Brown!
These two are more than deserving of this recognition! We are grateful for all that you do and we love you both! 💛💚

Students need recess, unstructured play, physical education, all the Arts, and their extracurricular activities! That's how we make their social/emotional health a priority.
If teachers and school staff only did what they are contracted to do and ONLY worked the hours that they are paid to work— every school would have to shut down because it wouldn’t be able to function.
