@JustineMBruyere Rules by Lord is one of my favorites! Recently read The Things We Cannot Say (an adult not a kids book). An important detail in this book is the way a family is impacted by a son who uses an AAC device and is on the autism spectrum. I really enjoyed reading it!
@RuthMBuchanan The Book of Lost Names was incredible! I read a lot of WW2 historical fiction, but this was a new perspective (from a document forger's POV) for me.
Hey teachers! What are your favorite books to read aloud and use to talk about social/emotional skills. (For context: I'm a 4th grade special education teacher.)
Here are some of the books we've used so far. โฌ๏ธ
"I just need more words!"
- 4th grader
After telling me he was interested in space, a student was blown away during a reading about Voyagers 1 & 2. He was begging for more information about space exploration!
Student choice is SO ๐๐ผ VALUABLE ๐๐ผ!
