Day 14 of demanding justice for Ochanya

I’ve been posting every day, and the silence from @BenuePoliceNG hurts more than words can say. It feels like they’re hoping we’ll get tired and move on. But how can we?

Ochanya was just a child. A daughter. A dreamer sent to live with family for a better future. Instead, she suffered hell for years until VVF took her life at 13. Her uncle walks free after acquittal. Her cousin Victor is still nowhere to be found.

This isn’t just a case, it’s a wound on every girl child in Nigeria. If we don’t fight for her, who will fight for the next one?

Please, Benue State Government and Nigeria Police, break this painful silence. Issue a statement. Declare him wanted. Show us you care about our daughters.

Tag everyone who can help. Don’t let Ochanya’s light fade.

Day 13 of demanding justice for Ochanya.

It's been over 7 years since 13-year-old Elizabeth Ochanya Ogbanje died from complications of years of horrific sexual abuse. Yet one of the main suspects, Victor Ogbuja, remains at large, and the Benue State Police Command has stayed largely silent.

Why is there still no official statement?
Why no sustained manhunt or wanted posters for the fugitive?
Why does it feel like this case is being allowed to fade away again?

The family and the people of Benue deserve better. We will not let Ochanya’s death be swept under the carpet.
