Education Officer with the Ministry of Education. I'm also a mother, sister, daughter, friend and wife to some really amazing people. My tweets are my own.
Aunt Beverley, like her late husband, was beyond phenomenal. The poise and grace with which she broke down barriers and advocated for underrepresented communities has left a legacy. Rest in power, Beverley. The world is a better place because of you. 🖤
Dr. Beverley Salmon was known across the country for her lifetime of civil rights activism and public service. She broke barriers, empowered others, and worked tirelessly to build a better future – and her passing is an extraordinary loss. My condolences to all who are mourning.
That moment right before your class ends for the semester and a student says “It feels too soon for this class to end. It’s been a real honour, Ms Huffman” ... Day. Made. Alllll the feels.
I hope everyone is enjoying the last moments with your Sem 1 students.
I think every secondary educator in #Onted needs to read the front matter of the #MTH1W curriculum.
This document sets the stage for pedagogy that centres students' identities and lived experiences.

@chrissyteigen So beautifully written. You’ve articulated so much of what for many feels like yesterday - because you never forget and you don’t want to. Thank you for sharing your story and bringing to light what many of us have felt silently - that deep sadness, love and need to remember. ❤️
