The 10th edition of the Mediterranean School of Complex Networks has officially started!🧠🌊
Set in a place where science, culture, and Mediterranean life — shaped by open skies, shared meals, and meaningful conversations — come together to build lasting connections. #mscx2025
🚨 We are thrilled to announce a surprise for our future attendants!
We will have the pleasure to host a cocktail-night talk by Prof. Luiz Pessoa @PessoaBrain to discuss about complex networks and neuroscience 🧠🧪.

The call for our 10th edition is open 🙃!
We trained almost 400 young researchers so far 🧑🔬
Can you miss one week of network science with leading network scientists in the field?
In the beautiful island of Ortigia (Sicily)?
Hurry up! Only 60 seats available, deadline 11/02/25
Ready for an epic new edition of MSCX? 🎉 We're almost there! 💪 In the meantime, click on the link here https://t.co/3Y5SyGQw9p and head over to Bluesky to check out the amazing speakers who’ve been making our school great since 2014! 🚀
The first "Networks Days" is ready!
A 2-days workshop to outline the advances on the Physics of Complex networks, using the good old academic style of small groups of experts for formal and informal discussions.
🇮🇹 starts the tradition: do you want to join the "movement"? 👇👀
#Science4All is a great initiative, and @UniPadova is unique.
Together w/ astrophysics or quantum computing, you can find #ComplexSystems w/ explorables by @DirkBrockmann
Open science + complexity enthusiasts = happy children
With a bit of a magic infrastructure 800y old...
Looking forward to our great (online) panel on Network Medicine, hosted by Accelnet-MultiNet. Join us on September 6th at 11am ET for a great discussion with world leaders in the topic: https://t.co/t80dAsDo64 @menicgiulia@manlius84@janbaumbach@netscisociety@MultilayerNets
Twitter is becoming increasingly polluted by violent, divisive, noisy content.
Communities and lists are the only tools to filter out the noise. T

José Cuesta gave a wonderful talk today on the modeling of complex systems. Surely we need to discuss more about the epistemological limits of our descriptions of nature. I am taking home a lot to learn, mainly information geometry.

Today @baruchbarzel introduced us to the different types of dynamic universality we can find in networks. For me this a premise to develop a dynamic hierarchy independent of the observer, able to explain the relationship between phenomena at different "scales".
#MSCX2024
I'm really enjoying @manlius84 's talk. Just as he distinguishes robustness and resilience dynamically, even if we disagree on definitions, we have to agree on the general principles describing fuzzy conceptions like life, intelligence, agency or consciousness.
#MSCX2024
If you are a young researcher who not only wants to learn more about complex networks, but also wants to practice your presentation skills, project planning and meet amazing people, I encourage you to attend the next edition of @MscxNetworks!

Another great edition of our school. Time to go back home.
Thanks to the chairs of this edition @manlius84 & @MangioniG for their efforts and the great organization.
See you for MSCX 2025: edition X!
Stay tuned: don't miss the celebration for a decade of network science with us
