For the past few days, I’ve been deeply disturbed by the negative news coming out of Pakistan, particularly the horrific cases involving infants and children being abused and killed. Today’s news from PIMS Hospital is yet another heartbreaking incident. It is difficult not to wonder whether so many tragedies occurring around the same time are merely coincidences. I can’t help but fear that there may be something more sinister behind some of these incidents, including the possibility of people engaging in rituals involving the sacrifice of children in the name of “BAAL.” I sincerely hope this is not the case, but the frequency and nature of these reports are deeply unsettling. #PIMS

The people of Azad Kashmir are intelligent, and they have sent a clear message by completely rejecting @MediaCellPPP. I believe they have seen what has happened to Karachi under PPP’s rule over the past 15 years and chose not to repeat that experience. In my opinion, PPP has never been a credible political party; it has always been a group of clowns and crooks.

When lawmakers claim that Lyari can host a FIFA World Cup match and that living in Karachi is like living in Paris, it exposes how disconnected they are from reality.

Many of our lawmakers seem completely unaware of the ground conditions and the daily struggles of ordinary citizens. While lawmakers enjoy government incentives, privileges, and luxuries, millions of Pakistanis are struggling to afford basic necessities, pay utility bills, and provide for their families.

The gap between the political elite and the common citizen has become alarmingly wide. If those making the laws cannot understand the realities on the ground, how can they be expected to solve the nation’s problems?

I do not understand how preventing spectators from attending a game live in the stadium contributes to energy savings. The floodlights remain operational regardless, and the electricity is generated either by fuel-powered generators or supplied from the grid, which may rely on fossil fuels such as furnace oil. Given that the primary energy consumption for lighting remains unchanged, the rationale behind prohibiting spectators from attending the game in person is unclear. What kind of decision is this?

Yet when it came to international political issues like Iran, people came out onto the streets and even faced law enforcement. This selective activism is not just ironic; it is an example of a poor mindset and misplaced priorities. A society must first learn to fight for its own basic rights, safety, and dignity before raising its voice for distant issues. Only when people stand firmly for their own rights can they truly speak with strength about the struggles of others
