He told the Wylie ISD board he is watching the same warning signs repeat themselves here that he saw before losing his freedom back home. He broke it down in stages: first they ask for tolerance, then for special treatment, then for enforcement.

He said it plainly. You have no idea what is coming toward your country right now.

A recent graduate sitting behind him rolled his eyes through the whole thing. That contrast says everything about where this debate stands in America right now.

Horrible post by former Labour councillor and former Lord Mayor Steve Wilson. He remains an honorary alderman, attends civic events, and continues to be associated with Hull City Council.

Reform Cllr’s will be writing to the Lord Mayor’s Office to ask what action can be taken. Whatever your politics, gloating over someone’s murder or celebrating their death is completely unacceptable.

Anyone representing the city in any civic capacity should be held to a higher standard. Political disagreement is not a licence to dehumanise people or make light of violence.
