Fr. Matthew Spotts S.J.

34th President of Creighton Preparatory School. Catholic priest and member of the Society of Jesus by the grace of God.

[Creighton Prep @CreightonPrep]

We have Prep alumni & fans on both sides of last night's football game: Former ND Pres. Rev. John Jenkins '72, @TylerJReidy '22 on Notre Dame radio & of course Colin Mahoney '21 as the @NDTheLeprechaun.

...But we can't lie that Fr. @MSpottsSJ & Mr.Eastmo are happy campers today!

[Fr. Matthew Spotts S.J. @MSpottsSJ]

As president of Prep, it’s been beyond fun to see Colin in this role this year! As a lifelong Ohio State fan I’m *almost* sorry to be on the other side of this all-Midwest final. Go Buckeyes!

Tonight at 10 on @KETV...

You've heard about Xavier Watts and the Rezac brothers, but there's another Notre Dame football star who hails from Omaha. ☘️ 🏈

And he could be the team's lucky charm on Monday night.

@dstewartjackson @gocreightonprep As my friends and I were texting last week during the Super Bowl, that halftime show had *incredible* millennial prom energy!

This stunning piece represents so much about what makes Ignatian education so special: the work emerged at the intersection of imaginative contemplation with the students’ own God-given gifts and abilities. AMDG!

Long post but TLDR: Our students are awesome!

Today is the Feast Day of Our Lady of Kibeho. On this day, we are proud to share this incredible painting, created by our Creighton Prep students, under the direction of faculty member Mr. Jeremy Caniglia '88.

Incredible opportunity to see @CreightonPrep singers lend their voices to Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem as part of the Choral Collaborative at the incredible Holland Center!

Always flattering when one of our @CreightonPrep students dresses as a Jesuit for Halloween!

[Fr. Matthew Spotts S.J. @MSpottsSJ]

In addition to being a great school leader at Rockhurst, a wonderful priest and Jesuit, and all around good guy, Fr. Giacabazi gives great service to our Board @CreightonPrep. Grateful to God for his life and vocation!

[Jesuit News @jesuitnews]

Congratulations to Fr. Vincent Giacabazi, SJ, of @JesuitsUCS, who pronounced final vows in the Society of Jesus last week at @RockhurstHS in Kansas City, Missouri, where he serves as principal. #AMDG

This is a really striking reflection by a @BrebeufJesuit alumnus not only of the importance of the humanities but also why it’s so vital that we’ll-rounded educations consider all aspects of personhood. Great work @ushaikh17! This former teacher is proud of you!

[Pope Francis – ARCHIVE @Pontifex266Arch]

Education does not consist in filling heads with ideas, but in accompanying and encouraging students on a journey of human and spiritual growth, showing them how friendship with the Risen Jesus enlarges the heart and makes life more human. #GeneralAudience

Just one year out from his senior year with @CPVarsitySports, @BrendanPreisman ‘22 is already putting out CWS pieces with @OWHnews. We’re not surprised…but we are impressed! AMDG! @CreightonPrep

[Omaha World-Herald @OWHnews]

Despite each team's differences in how they achieved the common goal of making it to Omaha, there is a common thread uniting all of these programs, players and coaches: consistency and focus, that helped drive them to the #MCWS.
