Breastfeeding makes me so HUNGRY! Carbs are my favorite, it’s satisfying and I feel like I produce more after a good meal. Let’s not get started with how thirsty I get the minute I start nursing or pumping. Your body tells you to stay hydrated. The human body is amazing!

Pumping is tough because I just want to sleep but there I am at 4 am on the couch. Definitely worth it to be able to provide my baby with mama’s breast milk. Just pump through the sleepiness! We can do this, mamas!

I’m torn between I want to post pictures of my baby because she’s so cute, and I don’t want to post any pictures of my baby for privacy and safety. So for now, when I see someone in person I scroll through and show them all her pictures. So sit down and get comfortable! 😌

I was 15 minutes away from ringing in the new year, but my baby had finally fallen back asleep so I wasn’t going to pass up the opportunity to get some sleep myself. As a mom to a newborn, you gotta cherish those shut eye moments too. 😴 Happy New Year 2023! 🥳

@jtrayers @Mstra_Nicholson Very true! You are your baby’s first safe place. The closer you keep them to you as babies the more you sooth the survival state and will have better self-regulation skills

I never had a picture of myself as a newborn or baby, so when I look at my daughter I imagine myself. I’m convinced she’s a cuter, more beautiful, and precious version of myself. I’m so in love with every part of her! ❤️

I never understand when people tell me to get all the sleep I can before baby arrives. I understand for dad, not for mom. I wake up every 1.5 hours just to empty my bladder. Some nights heartburn wakes me up or hunger. Pregnancy definitely prepares you for little sleep! 😅

My husband is calling all his family to show them the 3D ultrasound picture of our baby. It’s the absolute cutest thing to just hear him go on about our baby and my pregnancy journey.
