Major cheat code for life: Get organized. Just get your sh*t together, really. Stop creating emergencies for yourself by being all over the place. Pick a direction. Focus. Lock in. Discipline doesn't remove every problem, but it prevents a shocking number of avoidable ones.
A woman admitting to strangling all of her children to death, being exonerated in court anyway, and then masses of women celebrating in the streets while the killer goes on to make millions in crowd funding and lawsuits, is a possibility so grim that I can’t bear to think about it. I don’t know how you move on from that with any faith in the court system or the basic sanity and moral decency of a large portion of the public. It’s a terrifying thought, truly. I don’t know what we’re supposed to do, if this is how it all turns out. Let’s pray that justice somehow still prevails. The alternative is a nightmare.
