Nature’s medicine - plant these herbs in your garden and reap the health benefits:
🌱Use rosemary to make rosemary water to spray on the scalp, which is excellent for hair growth.
🌱Thyme can be used to make cough syrup, by steeping it in honey along with peeled garlic cloves and onion slices.
🌱Have green juice made with parsley and celery in the morning on empty stomach to reduce water retention/ bloating.
🌱Eucalyptus leaves have a strong menthol fragrance. Add fresh leaves or essential oil to a pot of hot water and inhale the steam for alleviating cold and sinus congestion.
🌱Fenugreek (also known as methi) can help reduce blood sugar levels. Soak 1 tsp of seeds in water overnight and drink this water (also chew the seeds) in the morning.
🌱Calendula oil or salve is beneficial for skin remedies like dryness and eczema. Steep flowers in carrier oil of your choice for 4-6 weeks to make your own.
🌱Make sleep inducing tea by adding chamomile flowers to hot water and letting them steep for a few minutes. Sip and sleep.
🌱Smell of lavender has immense relaxation properties. Use leaves and flowers in potpourri, or sachets in your closet.
