@nzsd Backwards logic anyway, look at Timaru, main street was ruined by traffic, a mall was built on north side to shift commerce away from traffic. Bypass went in (around the main st not the whole town) cue shopping and cafe revival because it was nice to be there again
@MorganGodfery Looks like nearly all of them. I suspect they are carrying a lot of vacancies it has got a lot harder to choose courses many I wanted to do aren't scheduled to run this year
Breaking news: A leading cardiologist and covid scientist in the UK says the average age of referrals to her clinic has gone from 55-80 years-old before the pandemic to 16-40 years-old now. This astonishing shift seems worthy of media attention
@juliefairey@jobartleynz Foggy memory but there's another quirke in the road toll data re drugs. I think you can see if they died in a crash and if they had drugs present, but you can't tell if they are the driver - ? Unsure, it was a while ago, but useful analysis was very limited.
Call me wild, but it seems sensible to still require people to stay away from school & work etc, while they have covid as it is now one of the leading causes of death in NZ.
Why do some employers want staff to come to work with covid? Surely that causes more sick days?
@metlink who is responsible for maintenance of bus shelters? Someone crashed into our shelter on Randwick Rd about a week ago and the glass hasn't even been swept up. Kiddos have to stand in it to catch the school bus each morning
@duooJulie@michaelwoodnz@JulieAnneGenter As the owner of a 4x4 I totally agree, would never have bought such a big vehicle but for owning a leaf as well. Try hard to avoid trips unless the extra size is required. Almost never bring it into the city
