WE did it. ALL of us. FOR New Yorkers.
I am so grateful to everyone who not only believed we could rise to the occasion and meet the scale of this challenge, but also went ahead and got it done!
Now, it’s time to build those homes. #CityofYes
📢 NYC is now a City of Yes for Housing Opportunity!
In the face of a deep housing shortage, @NYCCouncil has approved this historic plan to fix outdated zoning rules and deliver 80,000+ homes to New Yorkers across all 5 boroughs.
Here’s why #CityOfYes is such a game changer 🧵
New Yorkers built a movement around the belief that every family should be able to afford a dignified life. Today, as @GovKathyHochul and I mark our commitment to universal childcare, we're proving that a movement of the people can transform how government serves the people.
Welcome to A New Era, Sherif Soliman!
Sherif Soliman has nearly 30 years of public service across 3 mayoral administrations, and he's delivered major wins — including reducing CUNY's structural deficit by 79% and securing $1.5 billion for Universal Pre-K. He called Staten Island home for 25 years, and now he's joining us as our Budget Director to deliver a budget that fulfills our affordability agenda
Welcome to A New Era, Jahmila Edwards!
Jahmila's a labor veteran who spent a decade helping lead DC37, where she fought for and won a $15 minimum wage and millions in funding for CUNY employees. A longtime Brooklynite, she's joining us as Director of Intergovernmental Affairs to build strong partnerships with Albany, Washington, and across the city.
Truly grateful to these extraordinary New Yorkers who are more than ready to roll up their sleeves and help ensure @ZohranKMamdani administration is ready to deliver for New Yorkers on Day 1.
I have seen first-hand what a powerhouse public servant @NYPDPC is and her appointment as PC is yet another sign that the @ZohranKMamdani transition is serious about effective, accountable leadership.
I look forward to working with Commissioner Jessica Tisch to deliver genuine public safety in New York City. Together, we will deliver a city where rank-and-file police officers and the communities they serve alike are safe, represented, and proud to call New York their home. https://t.co/CkTNo46xuq
So proud to see Dean Fuleihan & Elle Bisgaard Church step into new roles in @ZohranKMamdani admin. Dean brings unparalleled governing experience; Elle brings clear-eyed, strategic vision — together they are a formidable team.

Honored to join @ZohranForNY’s transition team as a Co-Chair — and thrilled to see voters say YES to housing!
New Yorkers want a city where everyone can find a home and a future. Time to turn that mandate into momentum. 🗽

Grateful for the chance to reflect on what I’ve learned about the messy, inspiring, deeply human work of public service.
Spoiler: it’s about the people who keep it moving, the structures that make it hard, and the values that make it worth it.
Hope you’ll give it a listen!
Maria Torres-Springer has been a key player in the last three NYC mayoral administrations, including as Eric Adams’ #2.
Today, she explains what it takes to manage City Hall. https://t.co/KhWmhtZaMM
Hoping we can find a way forward here. I was so proud of our Just Home project because it was not only innovative but also inclusive of populations who are traditionally underserved;

I look forward to working with our Trustees and incredible grantees to propel Revson’s mission forward with imagination and urgency—strengthening democracy, advancing knowledge, elevating ideas and institutions that make our civic life stronger.
Honored to step into the role of President of the @RevsonFdn. The Foundation has always stood for the belief that ideas and institutions can bend the arc of civic life toward fairness, creativity, and hope.
My own path in public service has been guided by one conviction: when we invest in people and communities, we inspire change that lasts. That same conviction will guide my work at Revson.
An iconic leader for an iconic City treasure. Congratulations @MeeraCJoshi and here’s to your next great chapter of service!

A significant and ambitious set of proposals that will help us shape and build the type of city New Yorkers deserve. Congratulations to @2025NYC_CRC on the release of this report.
NEW: We just released our Preliminary Staff Report, which lays out an ambitious set of potential reforms for the Commission to explore across housing, elections, nonprofit payment and procurement, climate and infrastructure, and the City Map.

Serving as First Deputy Mayor has been an honor, and I am grateful to have been involved in these historic projects to make our city more affordable.
I am confident the public servants who serve this city will continue this work with the urgency it requires.

According to new census data, New York City’s population is on the rise for the first time post-pandemic.
Addressing our housing crisis has never been more urgent, and I’m proud of all that we have accomplished together.

In 2022, we released a moonshot goal of 500K units over next 10 yrs. This target would require production we haven’t seen since 1960s. This week, we learned that in 2024 NYC completed more housing than any year since 1965. We are on our way.
