My first major software sale was an insurance policy admin and it was euphoric. $100k in the bank! Life changing money at the time.
The art of selling insurance systems is based on network value add. You can’t just create a forms input and say “here it is”.
You need to be able to provide ease of doing business, full quote to policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, claims and billing. Of course, broker of record changes and out-of-sequence endorsements too.
Today, I am working on the next tier of insurance systems. Nothing like it on the market.
@rand_longevity Yes. Just like the clone problem, its not you but a “fork” that will experience and behave differently as time goes on. So, its not immortality but a continuation of you. Could be fun but what problem does it solve?
AI today is smarter than most people. I do think people are looking for ASI.
AI today, even when making mistakes is faster to iterate and learns instantly.
We live in exciting times.
If you ask me, we have AGI. Yes, there are still subtleties, but AGI is basically there. We have reasoning (system-2 thinking according to Kahnemamm), we have general intelligence across all areas of knowledge and we have approaches to self-learning.
The impact will be clearly visible in a few years.
But somehow everyone seems less surprised, less shocked than expected. It's almost as if AGI has become something like the norm.
Whereas AGI used to be the holy grail, it is now superintelligence. The demands have shifted.
Sam Altman writes in his blog that ASI will become a reality in a few thousand days and Ilya Sutskever is researching save superintelligence.
AGI has arrived faster than expected and will certainly be a reality by 2025. But somehow it all seems less spectacular than expected.
Well, then ASI is now the holy grail. Let's see if people are more impressed.
Check your tone and body language.
Sometimes, it’s not what you ask but how you ask it. Stay calm, keep an open posture, and avoid intensity or accusation.
A positive attitude is a quiet superpower. It doesn’t mean ignoring problems; it’s about facing them with clarity, confidence, and calm. That mindset opens doors others don’t even see.
What’s your go-to strategy for staying positive during tough times?
Stress reduction:
A positive outlook doesn’t eliminate stress, but it helps you manage it. You’re less likely to spiral and more likely to focus on solutions. Over time, this boosts both mental health and work-life balance.
