Today marks the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month. Hispanics make up such a large part of our population, yet they only make up 8% of STEM workers. We at THRIVE will work to increase this number at Mizzou, creating more inclusive environments and welcoming communities for all.
Today, we honor those who tragically passed in the events of 9/11. We remember the bravery of our first responders, and we thank them for their courage and strength. We keep in our hearts the loved ones of those whose lives were lost 23 years ago. Never forget.
