Yes, today in New York, I joined the Free Palestine protest. No justice, no peace! #FreePalestine!
I condemn the genocide being committed by the state of Israel in Gaza.
I joined to make it clear that Nigerians
stand for justice and human rights for Palestinians.
@FCDOGovUK reports say Israeli custody is killing Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya after 555 days without charges; his lawyer saw hammer wounds and fears he won’t survive, and it feels like nothing changes. @FCDOGovUK act now.
Just in: South African President Cyril Ramaphosa met leaders of anti-immigration group Phakelumthakathi & Ngizwe Mchunu ahead of unofficial June 30th deadline on calls for foreign migrants to leave South Africa. 🇿🇦
This explains why these guys are untouchable, they obviously have state backing.
UN experts call on Israel to immediately release Dr Hussam Abu Safia, warning that the Palestinian physician from Gaza has been subjected to “severe torture” and other abuses in Israeli detention.

Prisoners in Israeli prisons fast during Ramadan without suhoor, and their iftar is a long pain nothing about it resembles Ramadan. For more than two years, they have been forced to break their fast with mere crumbs of food.
✊🏻 Speak about him… share his name… do not let the voice of the doctor who saved lives fade away.

Nigeria in my humble view is doomed with the kind of retrogressive and corrupt infested leadership it has had the misfortune to have had since independence in 1960. The citizens are not free from blame and are not united against the common enemy of the people. The common enemy of the Nigerian people are the corrupt and the impunity infested rulers over the years who have no respect for the interests and wellbeing and welfare of the people.
These leaders whom I preferred to call rulers have over the years destroyed the basic fabric and foundations of meaningful development and economic growth of Nigeria despite the huge natural resources God has given to us. God has blessed Nigeria so much in terms of natural resources in the land and other resources. Nigeria made so much money in oil than United Arab Emirates, UAE, Dubai, from early 1970 till date, yet good leadership and good citizens transformed UAE to investment and tourist destinations.
What about Nigeria. What we have over the years nutured and grew are bandits and political thugs and thuggery. Democracy is not a product of the votes of the people. Those of us who live in Nigeria can give eyes witness accounts of the hell on earth in terms of decay and non functioning systems in all areas. Take healthcare facilities. Most of them are still in the state of "mere consulting clinics" as described by Buhari in 1983. Yet for 8 years, this same Buhari was in power as President and Commander in chief of the Armed Forces.
Those who deserved to be in jail are not in jail but they in most cases are in powers making laws and violating laws for us in Nigeria and nothing happened to them and nothing may happen to them. Most of those who should not be in the legal profession are not only in the profession, they are and are wield so much powers and influence that they are proud consultants in the pollution of the streams of justice. Justice has been so diluted in Nigeria to the irritation and annoyance of good conscience and justice.
Those who destroyed justice cry blue murder when the same measures and much more the netted out to people when they were in power are visited on them. Some Nigerians see prosecutions of some people as selective and politically motivated. I have always differed. Has there been anytime in Nigeria when justice was not selectively served and applied. If true justice is to apply in Nigeria I believe only infinitesimal number of Nigerians will survive the rigors of strict application of justice.
Nigerians seem to be comfortable enjoying injustice and abnormalities as normal. If not how did we as a people allow the kind of primitive acquisition of unexplained wealth by those who have no visible means of income other than crude accumulations of power to the detriment of the sovereignty of the people. When I travel out and see how government works and the kind of feudalism of leadership in Nigeria I always feel that Nigeria is doomed. We must stop celebrating thieves and evil men and women who have stolen the future and growth of Nigeria.
We have people who preach righteousness in public speeches but they do exact opposite of what they preach in practice. Those who ditched out injustice to us in judgments know that what they ditched out is injustice but they still do it because there are no consequences and or those who are to deal with them are direct beneficiaries of the injustice in judgments. Today we claimed that Nigerian constitution is supreme yet when it matters most the politicians violate the same constitution in the name of defending the constitution.
The contradictions in Nigerian constitutional democracy defiled logical explanations. For me we need to come together to make Nigeria great by doing what is rational and correct. The way we are going, Nigeria in my view may be doomed. We are getting to a boiling point. The signs are there for even the blinds to see.
BREAKING: A new UN report finds that Israel’s assault on Gaza - with the destruction of health care, education, infrastructure, even the banking system - has erased 69 years of human development, marking the worst economic collapse ever recorded.
This is not war: it is genocide.
The Israeli army reactivated its genocidal bombardment of Gaza today killing 22 civilian Palestinians including many children and injuring several others. The army lied again to justify its repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement claiming one person shot at their troops.
Francesca Albanese tells the world there has not been a single day of ‘ceasefire’ in Gaza 🇵🇸:
‘There is no ceasefire for Palestinians 🇵🇸’
‘Ceasefire’ is a word for people to remain indifferent to the suffering’
‘We won’t let them remain in their comfort zone’
Free Palestine 🇵🇸
Dozens of Palestinians were laid to rest at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis.
Their bodies, once held by the Israeli army & later released in the recent prisoner exchange, bore unmistakable signs of torture, a haunting testimony to the suffering they endured before death. #Genocide
