Most people are still treating AI like a calculator. You punch in a problem, you get an answer, you move on.

That mental model will cap you fast.

The real shift happening right now is from prompting to architecture. Instead of asking an AI to write a function, you build a system where the AI writes the function, tests it, catches the error, revises, and loops until it meets a standard you defined. You step back. The loop runs.

This is not a small distinction. It is the difference between being a user and being a builder.

When you design a loop, you are encoding your judgment into a system. You are saying: here is the standard, here is the check, here is what good looks like. The AI executes inside that boundary. Your thinking is upstream of the work, not tangled up in it.

This matters enormously for anyone early in their career right now. The skill to build is not prompt writing. It is systems thinking. What are the inputs. What is the exit condition. What does a failure state look like and how does the loop recover. These are engineering questions, not chatbot questions.

The people who learn to design loops will not just use AI better. They will think better. Because designing a reliable loop forces you to be precise about what you actually want, which is a discipline most people skip entirely.

AI does not replace the thinker. It rewards the one who thought clearly first.

Happy Independence Day 🇺🇸

Today means many things to many people. For some, it’s fireworks and family. For others, it’s just another Friday.

But beyond the celebration, I’m thinking of those who are still waiting for their own kind of freedom, the kind that isn’t marked by history, but by healing.

Freedom from fear.
Freedom from waiting rooms.
Freedom from doubt, shame, silence, or scarcity.
Freedom to live, love, and dream without limits.

Your Independence Day will come too. And when it does, may it come with peace and a sense of home you don’t have to explain.

This is America’s world.

There are so many things we take for granted that we don’t even know it’s because of America, until it is lost.

We all know about the U.S. stopping the two World Wars and regularly supplying us with world-changing technologies.

But the amount of money America gives to other countries all over the world is staggering.

Without the funds, many economies would have crumpled.

But the citizens of those countries have no idea that American taxpayers are bank rolling their existence.

I bet many people receiving “free” HIV treatments from their local hospitals didn’t know it was because people in Idaho and Montana are paying their taxes and the U.S. government, as big brother, sends the money to make it happen.

People who secretly wish China or some other country can replace America as world leader sometimes don’t know what they are asking for.

No other country in the history of the world has been as magnanimous. Perhaps no other country will ever be.
