4.5 years of grind in MBBS, and the internship stipend in Uttar Pradesh is just ₹12,000 per month.

Four of my batchmates are on a hunger strike, demanding fair pay for MBBS interns in Uttar Pradesh. The UP government exploits MBBS interns by making them work 12 to 14 hours a day while paying them a stipend of just ₹400 a day, ₹12,000 per month. This is worse than the bonded labor the British once imposed on Indians. What is the point of freedom if the doctors of this country are still being treated like slaves?

They are demanding dignity and fair pay. They have been demanding what is rightfully theirs for the past three years, yet they continue to be ignored by the UP government.

यूपी में एमबीबीएस के बाद इंटेनशिप में मिलने वाला स्टाइपेंड कई राज्यों के मुकाबले बहुत कम है , हम सरकार से अपील करते हैं मिलने वाला स्टाइपेंड 12000 को बढ़ाकर 25000 किया जाए।
