A couple allegedly died by suicide after coming under a moving train near Ghatkesar on Thursday night, according to Railway Police.

The deceased have been identified as #RaviKumar and #Sirisha, residents of Kuntloor in Pedda Amberpet. They were originally from Papayyapeta village in the erstwhile Warangal district.

After receiving information from locals, Railway Police rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem.

Preliminary investigations showed that the neighbours #Venkat and #Pramila use to pressurise Ravikumar and Sirisha to convert to #Christianity from #Hinduism. Venkat and Pramila were informed that they don’t have any intention to convert to another religion. Later Venkat and Pramila had come up with a business proposal. They proposed to buy a concrete ready mix vehicle. Ravikumar had pledged his wife’s gold ornaments and took 20 lakhs debt and given to Venkat to buy concrete ready mixer. Venkat in return has promised 20,000 every month but he stopped paying money after couple of months. The victim couple were in severe financial distress before taking the extreme step.
