It’s like the restaurants that advertise they are both “halal” AND “fully licensed”!
These are symptoms of declined thinking in the Ummah that are less prevalent now than they were 30-40 years ago.
Some people have the seed of Imaan in their heart, but their own prioritisation of commands and prohibitions in their heart.
In fact, where people minimise the dabbling in Riba or in politics that contradicts Islam, it is arguably far more serious but sparks less outrage than personal issues of food & drink.
Russian man harasses Muslim woman for wearing Hijab
"Why the hell are you dressed this way?!"
In Moscow, a Russian white man began harassing and insulting a Chechen Muslim woman because of her Hijab and religious clothing.
In response to the abuse and aggression, the Muslim woman warned that she was Chechen and that there are people who would stand up for her, promising that her brothers would hold him accountable for the abuse and aggression.
After the video went viral, Muslim men managed to locate him and told him to publicly apologise to the woman. He posted a video of himself on his knees and apologised to the Muslim woman.
This article argues that - “Applying the UK government’s 2024 definition of extremism to Zionism demonstrates a clear conclusion: Zionism meets all the criteria. It is an ideology based on violence, hatred and intolerance.”
Do they even realise why Trump needs them there? He could not threaten a Muslim country like Iran without their cooperation. Because if they allied with Iran, America’s reign in the Gulf would be finished. Yet they sit like the subordinates & sycophants that Trump surrounds himself with everywhere he goes.
@RupertLowe10 So if mainstream politics, which was backed by millions of brits was pushing the banning of Reform, you would support it?

"John Cleese, you’re not a comedian - you’re a hate preacher. Birmingham and its community outright reject your so-called 'comedy.' You aren't welcome here."
Muslim activists in Birmingham have released a video condemning British comedian John Cleese ahead of his visit to perform in the city.
The activists accuse Cleese of promoting anti-Muslim and anti-Islam views, pointing to a series of controversial comments he has made about Islam and Muslims on X.
In March, Cleese claimed that the Qur’an’s teaching was “ALL about acquiring power, killing ‘infidels’ and imposing Islam on everyone”, while arguing that Britain’s Christian tradition was superior.
Cleese has rejected accusations of Islamophobia, describing himself instead as “Islamosceptic”.
He is due to perform at Birmingham Town Hall on September 20 as part of his John Cleese and the Holy Grail tour, which is visiting 18 venues across England.
Several of the cities on the tour, including Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Bedford, are home to substantial Muslim communities.
@deen1fied
I grew up watching adoring as Basil in Faulty Towers but, the truth is either he’s totally senile or a complete Muslim-hater.
If you can’t see the bile he constantly tweets regarding Islam and Muslims then you probably suffer from what he does.
These young men are neither thugs nor “Islamists”. They’re Muslims men from Britain.
They speak clearly, factually and respectfully.
Deal with that.
I have never seen such a blatant double standard in my life.
In 2018, when 12 young Thai football players and their coach were trapped in a cave in Thailand, the world did not say, “They are not our citizens.” Britain sent some of its best cave divers. Australia sent doctors and rescue experts. The United States sent more than 40 military personnel and equipment. Countries came together and worked with the Thai authorities to get those children out.
And they did as clear in the video below. They saved all 13 of them.
Tonight, in Gaza, people woke up to the screams and cries of children, women, and elderly people after a six-story building known as the “Al-Saada” building collapsed. Nearly 100 people were sheltering inside. Dozens of tents surrounded the building. Many of those trapped under the rubble are children.
They are still under the rubble. So where are the international rescue teams?
Why aren't neighboring Arab countries sending rescue teams? Why aren't Western countries sending specialized teams to save whoever can still be saved?
My heart aches for my people in Gaza :(
Iranian Masterstroke — or an American Trap for Saudi Arabia?
Iran’s leverage in the Middle East may have just increased dramatically. With Ansarallah taking control of Yemen’s Red Sea coastline and Saudi Arabia’s crucial East–West Pipeline knocked offline, two of the world’s most important energy chokepoints are now at the centre of the Iran war. But there is another possibility: is this an Iranian strategic masterstroke—or is Saudi Arabia being squeezed into joining the US–Israel war against Iran?

The New Party of Big Money - just like the other big parties.
Government by the people, of the people, for the fantastically wealthy people.
If this was in India, Pakistan or Bangladesh,it would be seen as corruption, plain and simple. But here it’s called philanthropy.
_*The FT discusses the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) !!!*_
https://t.co/fQvrd4ShiN
Muslims love it when people discuss the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم) respectfully & positively.
“Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم) the merchant” an appropriate description for his life before prophethood.
But “Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم) the capitalist “ was too much, albeit clearly not meant to be ill-intended by the panel.
Rather, in exploring the history of western banking and markets they traced many principles back to Quran and Sunnah.
The discussion was through the lens of their own value-system. So,
at times it sounded like cultural appropriation of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم). But towards the end there was an acknowledgement that there are ideas beyond what we know from our Eurocentric view.
Some could see this as promoting capitalism to Muslims. Others will say it is a welcome change to see Islam discussed in a civilisational way, not merely as a security threat
Today was a day to remember those who died or were injured because of the 9/11 attacks.
The next 25 years needs to be to remember those countless others around the world who were killed, maimed, tortured and incarcerated because of the aftermath.
