Credentialism is one of the strangest religions ever invented. A piece of paper signed by the right stranger is treated as evidence of wisdom, while actual results are treated as anecdotal.
It’s what mediocre people build when reality keeps asking for proof of competence.
@BigDickBarclay As I recall it had more to do with patent shit so chemical companies could transition people to new formulations.
A form of regulatory capture.
You think DuPont gives a shit about the the environment?
It is not strictly correct to call Mormons polytheists because, when you understand their system deeply enough, you will realize they are ultimately atheists. Their “gods” are just creatures whose origin is matter, which they believe to be eternal and self-existent; they explicitly deny a God outside of time and space Who exists of Himself and creates. There is no actual God in Mormon “theology.”
I need a good HVAC person.
Seems to be a lot of crappy companies. How do I navigate this?
I want a normal ongoing maintenance contract, a duct repair under the house and eventually some new attic insulation when money allows.

@BrotherAugusti2@BigDickBarclay There was a known loca/respected company here that I believe got bought out. Their sales guy tried to rip me off on a quote. I dealt with them before and they are alright/cool. After they were purchased it was like dealing with tiny hat people.
How can I confirm APEX purchase?
We need you guys to help. This our family, our friends, my husband’s godson, Matthew aka George. Please pass this around to everyone that you can. This will get spammed a lot here until it’s fulfilled.

The main character in Gattaca - note that he was not the 'hero' - lied about his congenital heart condition, thereby endangering not only himself but an extremely expensive mission to Titan, risking hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars in capital along with the life's work of thousands of people, all because of his selfish desire to be an astronaut despite being biologically unsuitable to the role.
Morally, he was no different from an 85-IQ Hindu sneaking his way into a programming job by faking his credentials.
