Fear is growing along the Gusau–Dansadau road in Zamfara State as bandit threats force residents to leave their vehicles at home, disrupting transportation and business activities.

In another worrying development, bandits reportedly invaded Yar Gada community in Magami Ward, Gusau LGA, and set residents vehicles on fire.

Residents are now concerned about further attacks following threats reportedly linked to the burning of as many as 250 vehicles in the axis.

How long will people continue to live in fear and abandon their daily activities before the government and security agencies take decisive action to protect lives and property?

BREAKING: Bandits have again blocked the Magami–Dansadau road in Zamfara State. They reportedly vandalised vehicles and destroyed travellers belongings.

This is the second attack on the route after the bandits threatened to burn 250 vehicles along the road, leaving motorists worried about their safety.

How long will travellers continue to face these attacks before the authorities take concrete action to secure this road and protect lives and property?

Since Ahmed Zakka and his young family regained their freedom, we must also remember Jamila, the pregnant woman still being held by bandits after her abduction in Millennium City, Kaduna State.

Reports say her abductors have contacted her husband and are demanding 500 million Naira for her release. In a heartbreaking message, Jamila reportedly expressed fears for her life.

Please, we need to turn our attention now to her too. We appeal collectively to the authorities, security agencies and everyone who can help to do everything possible to secure her safe rescue.

Jamila is pregnant and needs urgent help. Her family is waiting for her, and her unborn baby deserves a chance at life.

May Allah protect her and bring her home safely. Ameen

BREAKING: This afternoon, residents of Tungar Haki community in Talata Mafara LGA, Zamfara State, are fleeing their homes over fears of a bandit attack following the reported withdrawal of soldiers deployed to protect them.

Residents are now worried about their safety, fearing that the community could be exposed to attacks in the absence of the troops.

TROOPS REPEL ISWAP ATTACK IN ADAMAWA, NEUTRALISE TERRORISTS AS LOCALS COMMEND SOLDIERS

Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have repelled an ISWAP attack on their Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Garaha, Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State, neutralising several terrorists during the failed assault on October 12, 2026.

The terrorists reportedly attacked at about 9:07 p.m., advancing on foot from the Lar axis. Troops swiftly launched a counter-offensive, forcing the insurgents to retreat. Several terrorist corpses were recovered, while few soldiers sustained injuries.

Recovered items included one PKT machine gun, six AK-47 rifles, 11 magazines, ammunition belts, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, a 60mm mortar bomb, mobile and recording devices, water bags and other equipment.

The successful repulsion of the attack has further demonstrated the troops’ resolve to defend their positions and prevent insurgents from overrunning military formations in the North-East.

Residents of the area commended the troops for their swift response and determined defence of the base, expressing appreciation for their efforts to protect surrounding communities from terrorist threats.
