Future research could include strategies such as actual contact and interaction with a person with ADHD to address negative attitudes toward the condition.
We recommend including similar ADHD training in teachers' continuous development programs and teacher training Colleges.
However, future interventions to improve ADHD knowledge should specifically and proactively include components to address negative attitudes toward ADHD.
The intervention improved the teachers' knowledge of ADHD and Knowledge of Behavioural Intervention for the condition. However, the training program was associated with an increase in the intervention group's negative attitudes toward ADHD.
