@Acholi_godddd Would you rather be a small fish in a big pond or a big fish in a small pond. Citizenship of most of these countries is meaningless if you are poor. For most of them, you still have to struggle as any other person to pay bills, invest etc. So, no big deal
@sejudav Throughout human history, there are two types of men: those who do and those whose only life achievement is to downplay the contributions of the first group
@RugyendoQuotes The central thesis is deception. He called it maneuver. All this X business could be summed up as maneuver. Time will give us the answer

It is now clear that the information received yesterday about @HEBobiwine arrest were largely untrue. Those sending the information misled us all. I offer my contrition for sharing this information without verification. It is hard to keep up when you are oceans away.
Reports alleging that a UPDF helicopter landed at the residence of Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi during the night and removed him to an unknown location are false. Completely and unequivocally so.
The Embassy has verified the facts with the relevant authorities. No helicopter landed. No such operation occurred. Hon. Kyagulanyi is not under arrest. The story is a fabrication.
The aviation reality alone exposes this lie. Military helicopters do not land silently, secretly, or without consequence in urban residential compounds. Such an event would be deafening, destructive, and impossible to conceal. It would leave physical damage, witnesses, and incontrovertible evidence. None exists.
Let us be clear about the gravity of this conduct. False reports of night-time military aviation operations are not harmless errors. They put lives at risk. They incite panic, provoke disorder, and create conditions in which innocent Ugandans can be injured or killed. Those who manufacture and broadcast such claims understand this and proceed regardless.
It is therefore indefensible that Sky News, CNN, BBC and Al Jazeera chose to air this falsehood without evidence, verification, or corroboration. This is not journalism. It is misinformation with foreseeable and dangerous consequences.
We demand immediate and prominent retractions on the same platforms and programmes on which this lie was broadcast.
Uganda respects media freedom. But media freedom does not confer a licence to invent security incidents, abuse aviation realities, endanger civilians, or manufacture crises for headlines. The Government of Uganda therefore reserves the right to review its engagement, access, and facilitation arrangements with media organisations whose conduct demonstrates a reckless disregard for Ugandan lives.
Those who knowingly originated or broadcast this falsehood should be under no illusion: legal action is being actively considered.
Uganda will not accept lies that risk bloodshed nor will we pretend not to see them.
