The much-awaited Inter Area Cricket Tournament 2025–26 began today (08.12.2025) at Prabhat Stadium, Mugma Area, with the Coal India Anthem setting the stage for a spirited start.
The excitement continued in Match 2 as Salanpur Area displayed excellent teamwork, successfully defending their total of 155 runs and defeating S.P. Mines Area by 16 runs.

Day 2 of the ECL Inter-Area Cricket Tournament 2025–26 brought intense competition & spirited performances at Prabhat Stadium.
In the first match, Kajora Area put up a strong total of 175 runs & showcased exceptional bowling to secure a 38-run victory over Jhanjra Area.
With each match raising the intensity, the tournament continues to build excitement as it heads into the semifinal stage.

In QF2, Pandaveswar Area successfully chased Salanpur Area’s target of 79 runs to secure a 7-wicket victory and advance to the semifinals. The Man of the Match award was presented by Shri S. K. Gaikwad, General Manager (Operations), Mugma Area.
The Quarter Finals witnessed competitive and exciting cricket. In QF1, Mugma Area restricted Jhanjra Area to 61 runs and chased the target comfortably to become the first semifinalist.
The closing ceremony was graced by Shri Niladri Roy, Director (Technical–Operations), ECL, and Shri O. P. Choubey, General Manager, Mugma Area, who commended the players and highlighted the importance of sportsmanship.
An electrifying finale at Prabhat Stadium saw Mugma Area lift the trophy after a spirited contest against Pandaveswar Area. Showcasing strong teamwork and skill, Mugma Area claimed the title, while Pandaveswar Area delivered an impressive performance throughout the tournament.

🛡️ Security Coordination Meeting
A joint meeting between officials of Mugma Area @easterncoal, CISF, State Administration & Police was held on 12.11.2025 to review security measures in collieries & OCPs.
Focus: Control of illegal mining, theft prevention & better coordination.
