Hon. Sarah Kityo, thank you my friend for always speaking out the truth. You will be remembered.
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.”
Book of Proverbs 31:8
This is the truth, something everyone knows, even those trying to avoid it.
We all remember the people who laid the foundation for PLU: those who took the first bold steps in our GROUPS that later became the famous PLU. Chairman Toyota organized the first mega birthday event at Lugogo Cricket Oval in 2022, and Hon. Balaam organized another massive celebration in Bushenyi. These were not ordinary moments, they were historic.
We witnessed vibrant teams rise: the energetic MK Army led by Hon. Balaam, the famous team chairman led by Chairman Toyota, the MK Avengers led by Ambassador Katungi, and the Revolutionary Guards under Chairman Nzaire. Andrew Mwenda also stood out as a patron of the original MK Army. This was the true spirit of volunteerism (nyekundire) which is now dying.
Yes, there were minor misunderstandings among our team leaders, but in reality, this created healthy competition that kept us active and strengthened our morale.
Let’s also remember how these events were funded. Many people assume the government sponsored them, but that is not the truth. These events were financed by the team leaders themselves, using their own resources to support and mobilize members. If we were to calculate the money spent by Chairman Toyota on events in Lugogo, Jinja, and Arua alone, the figures are overwhelming. The same applies to the contributions of Hon. Balaam in very many events and Ambassador Katungi. These leaders invested their time, energy, and personal resources to build and sustain these Gumite teams.
That is why it is painful to see some of the very people who were recruited and supported by these leaders now turning against them. It is sad to see latecomers trying to undermine founding members of PLU.
If these leaders were selfish or jealous, why would they recruit you? Why would they recommend you for promotions in PLU?
Why then create division among foot soldiers? Where do these narratives come from that some supporters are being paid to attack others? Why do some leaders begin to act as if they are above everyone else?🫢
Respect must be for all foot soldiers, regardless of age or responsibility. Is this really how we want to be remembered? Old men Fighting each other for social media attention?🙂
Why should anyone dictate who we associate with? If a CEC member disagrees with another, does it mean foot soldiers must also hate them? Are we now being told who to love and who to reject?🤨
It is unfair to frustrate foot soldiers who dedicate their time and effort without any payment, simply out of commitment to support Gen MK. PLU belongs to all of us. No one should control how supporters express their loyalty to GEN MK.
To those who joined recently and now are stepping up to others, please humble yourselves. We have seen powerful leaders rise and fall but today they are ordinary citizens.😆
Let us build unity, respect one another, and remember the values that brought us together as PLU.
Wishing all foot soldiers and leaders a peaceful weekend, especially those who uphold respect for others.
I know how much dedication and effort Amb @MKatungi have put into PLU , and I truly respect the impact he has made. Leadership changes don’t erase the value of your contribution or the respect people have for you. Stay strong, take time for yourself, and know that this may just be a door closing for an even bigger one to open. 💪
@MKatungi my prayers are with you am very sure God in heaven appreciates the love you have for your country no one feels and understands it more than your family thank you for serving your country with the little you have 🙏🏾 blessings
To all our people in the mentioned areas and neighbouring districts. Let's grab this opportunity at the nearby health centres. Health is Wealth. We thank all our Patners.@Plugandaa @kusaofficialacc@KyankwanziDLG @NaliUganda @mkainerugaba@MugumeSheba
I saw a video today of this woman calling Gen. Muhoozi an “insane Chief of Defence Forces.” Winnie, are you seriously calling the CDF insane? Are you really okay? You have completely failed to raise your own child in a meaningful way, we can’t even tell if your child is a boy or a girl; we just see someone walking around with a strange hairstyle, where do you get the audacity to attack COMD-1, & a four star General?. Anyway, you lost your sanity back when you were a secretary at the Ugandan embassy in France, when you ran away with embassy furniture, plates, and cups. Shame on you @Winnie_Byanyima.
Sad reality of the demise of this courageous my frend for many years,a bold journalist whose raw critique of authority sparked both conversation and controversy. He stood by what he believed, the truth! A great defender of the revolution and supporter of @mkainerugaba. MHSRIP.Adieu
Thank you comrades old and new for the birthday wishes, prayers and good wishes. Africa is the last frontier and it's rising beyond the shackles and chains that held it.
You are the breed that will take Uganda and africa to the space and industrial age. Blessings 🙌.
