@pedroromero120@DontCallMeDebby Concern about acid rain and the hole in the ozone layer abated because governments actually did something about them. Cut backs in SO2 and CO2 for the rain and CFC's for the ozone.
@Greenslate84147@DannymcLeod15 I'm from CA, there is a difference here (and in other states) between an informational and an authorized birth certificate. Only the latter can be used to prove identity.
@miles_commodore Robin Williams used to drop in unannounced at clubs around SF. So yeah, seeing Robin Williams live for basically a cover charge? Can't beat that.
@Greenslate84147@DannymcLeod15 A certified copy of the birth certificate (required by SAFE) costs more than the standard BC. People who have changed their names will need certified copies of documents reflecting the changes (i.e. marriage, divorce or formal name change).
@VGtexan@thompsons21481@MAGAMAHACindy Fair enough. We're about the same age and I generally chose to walk or bike to school. Couldn't do that since my route crossed a couple of freeways.
@ADsXe Should be someone with an extensive catalog spread over a long period of time so the style will change. Frank Sinatra or Ella Fitzgerald would be good choices. Or maybe an alternate interpretation would be choosing an author as artist and just pick a couple of audio books.
@ReddogOHIO@sglockenspeil I'm with you on year round DST, but I love the metric system. Anything base 10 is easier for math than whatever the hell USCS is - except for temperature. I will die on the hill that Fahrenheit is superior to Celsius.
@ReddogOHIO I was around in the 70's as well. Really hated going to school in the dark. But, I don't have a problem trying it every few decades just to remind people why it's not a cure-all for winter blues.
@Greenslate84147@DannymcLeod15 I mean, mostly we're just saying we don't want to pay more for it. My government issued ID should be enough, but under the SAVE act, it is not.
@thompsons21481@VGtexan@MAGAMAHACindy I was also around in 74 and it wasn't only about the kids, turned out, people just didn't like spending their first 2 - 3 hours every day in the dark. It's not like we're spending a lot of evenings outside in the winter anyway.
