Army Chief was briefed on scope/ conduct of the exercise by General officer Commanding Special Service Group.

The Opening Ceremony of Multi-National Special Forces Exercise “Eternal Brotherhood-II" was held at Barotha. Special Forces contingents from Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Turkiye and Uzbekistan are participating in two weeks long exercise.

The exercise is aimed at further harnessing the historic military to military relations among the friendly countries, including nurturing of joint employment concept, while identifying areas of mutual interest for future military collaborations and benefitting from each other’s experience against terrorism.

Prior to visiting Brotha, COAS also visited Junior Leadership Academy (JLA) Shinkiari, which is the Center of Excellence for training of Non Commissioned Officers. He laid floral wreath at Yadgaar e Shuhada and addressed the participants of the Academy. COAS remarked that “Junior Leaders are the backbone of Pakistan Army and are key to success in Conventional and Unconventional Warfare.”
“Our standard of professionalism and leadership is par excellence compared to any modern army of the world. Junior leaders of Pak Army have proven their mettle in the fields of training, operations and world class competitions across the world”, COAS concluded.

On arrival at JLA and Brotha, COAS was received by Inspector General Training & Evaluation.

8th shahadat anniversary of Captain Syed Isfandyar Bukhari Shaheed
18 Sept 2015, 14 terrorists attacked badhaber Airbase and targeted people offering Fajr prayer, and later aimed to enter the residential colony, upon knowing this assault group was launched in the command of the then Major Haseeb, soon he got hit and was shifted to CMH Pesh. Upon knowing this brig Inayat of 102 Brig stationed in Pesh handed over the command to Captain Ijaz, but serving as G-3 to Brig Inayat, Captain Isfandyar who wasn't supposed to take the command volunteered himself for the operation, but brig Inayat refused to hand over the command to him as he was a staff officer, Capt Isfandyar argued about less experience of Captain Ijaz and forced Brig to hand him the command, till this 28 were martyred and 29 injured.
As Captain Isfandyar took over the command he killed 4 Ts proofing his tactics, as he aimed for the 5th T hiding in the Latif Barrack he got hit on left side of his chest, he was down but he shot at the 5th terrorist dispatching him to hell, but Captain Isfandyar embraced Martydom
A swordy of his course, also recipient of Military tactics medal and A veteran.
Later he was awarded with Tamgha-e-Jurat for the valor he displayed, and was laid to rest in attock. He had a short but excelling military career, which is too brief but too hard to explain in words

The Pakistan Air Force contingent concluded its successful participation in the multinational tri-services air exercise, Bright Star 2023, held at Mohammed Naguib Military Base in Egypt. This two-week-long exercise brought together a total of 30 countries, including prominent participants such as Pakistan, United States, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Jordan, Greece and Qatar. The exercise showcased the exemplary performance of PAF's contingent and its state-of-the-art JF-17 Thunder fighter jets. This participation not only highlighted PAF's commitment to regional and international cooperation but also underscored its capabilities and prowess to operate in diverse and challenging environments.

Through Exercise Bright Star 2023, Pakistan Air Force has once again proven its commitment to upholding glorious traditions and fostering strong partnerships with the global community. Pakistan Air Force looks forward to future collaboration with Air Forces of allied countries and to continue developing its capabilities to meet the evolving challenges in the face of contemporary security threats.
