Exactly, that’s why your idea on ending our dependence on Oil and gas for the generation of our electricity power has been broadly accepted.
How to END Our dependence/reliance on Gas for our Electricity Power Generation: We need to shift fully to Solar power generating system.
This is the Bui Floating Solar System brought into existence by Nana/Dr. Bawumia
This is Ghana’s 1st Hydro-Solar Hybrid power generating system, it include 5MW Floating Solar PV System, it’s 1st in West African subregion. This forms part of 1st phase of a 250MWp solar project implemented in phases of 50MWp.
In the NPP’s Next Government under Dr. Bawumia, we shall Diversify the generation mix by introducing 2000MW of solar power and additional wind power through independent power producers.

In 2013, during his first State of the Nation Address, then-President John Mahama acknowledged that the late President Atta Mills had initiated the University of Ghana Medical Center project.
Mahama pledged to complete the project by 2016. However, during his last visit to the University of Ghana, Legon, Mahama admitted that he was unable to fulfill this promise.
He expressed hope that the incoming president, elected in the 2016 elections, would complete the project to ensure it serves its intended purpose.
