@ba6ee5a_ I've played the original series as well, and I found the new one to be far superior story wise, it takes the themes that made the original great and builds on it to ground it and give it depth, check out some playthroughs or reviews it might get your interest.

@ba6ee5a_ If you're leaning towards better narratives, RDR2 and both of TLOU are the absolute best, if gameplay is the emphasis, God of War or Control are a better choice.

Note that all of these have a brilliant combination of the two, TLOU probably being the perfect example.
